Well I know that the title is a bit boastful, but I rather like this award, which was for the work completed on the SAFFIRE project at UC. What I liked about this award was the great team of people I got to work alongside with (some of whom you see in the photo below). This included a number of wonderful academics who were so amazingly welcoming and then engaged so wholeheartedly with the project (see video).
And quite frankly, it was just a fun job that I really enjoyed doing. Now I have to admit I am a bit of a technophile, I do like technology and I can see it work for people. But I am not blind to its short comings, realizing that there are times when honest pen and paper is so much faster. But what has been fun about this job has been the opportunities to work with a range of technologies. Using video and photo editing software, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia, as we created materials to enhance students learning. So, yes, just some real fun stuff.
